She passionately volunteers in research and development cancer programs, exemplifying her unwavering commitment to helping others. Kajol’s love for travel, cooking, and collecting recipes from diverse cultures enriches her stories and exotic delightful characters. She is an avid car racing fan, and finds inspiration in the drivers’ determination and perseverance on the track, as well as the infinite power of imagination that drives their dreams.

5 THINGS TO SAY WHEN I AM VISITING A FRIEND OR LOVED ONE IN THE HOSPITAL.
- “Tell me what’s going on with you.” (Just listen without interruptions. Don’t say its OK. It’s not OK! )
- “What would you like to talk about – school, our friends or this very cool hospital?” (Show interest in any topic they pick).
- “I wish this hadn’t happened to you but I’m glad that I can hang out with you now. I miss you!”
- “I brought this game / book so we can play / read together. Let’s have some fun!” ( Help your friend or relative experience a bit of normal life.)
- “If you ever feel alone, just remember I am here for you”.

5 FUN THINGS TO DO WHILE STAYING IN THE HOSPITAL
- Draw and color pictures to brighten another child’s day.
- Make thank you cards for your health care staff.
- Visit the hospital library to read books and go on journeys to explore the world.
- Play board games with other pediatric patients or virtual video games online.
- Spend time journaling. Writing your thoughts or feelings will provide and outlet to express and release any emotions that you may be feeling.

- Be polite, even on the days you don’t feel your best.
